Evidence synthesis

In 75 athletes, five-minute breathing conditions at 5 to 7 cycles per minute produced higher HRV indices than spontaneous breathing.

Limitations

The study did not involve cold exposure, prolonged exhalation at the exact Neuropause cadence, The Ice Sack, or generalized state regulation. HRV is not a direct readout of subjective control.
